Campaign to replace the TV Licence

Free TV licences for up to 3.7m pensioners are being scrapped, the BBC recently announced. Under the new rules, only low-income households where one person receives the pension credit benefit will still be eligible for a free licence.

Eddie believes the TV Licence scheme is outdated, unfair and unfairly criminalises people. More and more young people are opting not to pay the licence as they switch to online streaming, older people who had a free TV licence will now have to pick up the tab. Meanwhile celbrities at the BBC will continue to earn large salaries, with some earning upto £1,750,000 a year. Those that struggle to pay the licence risk prison.
