It was great to meet with Chief Superintendent Andy Parsons to pass on recent concerns about crime in Willenhall & Bloxwich and discuss how we can work together. Andy grew up in New Invention / Walsall and returned on 2 January as the Commander on Walsall Neighbourhood Policing Unit. He's got some great ideas to make best use of the resources available to him to reduce crime across the borough. I look forward to working with him and his team.
I also met with Inspector Sophie Worthington of West Midlands Police to discuss crime concerns of local residents and shops in Bloxwich and Willenhall. They are working around the clock to catch the perpetrators. They also have plans to improve community crime prevention and strengthening Neighbourhood Watch, community alerts and the Streetwatch scheme. Working together we can make a difference.
