Eddie met with Andrew Jones MP, Exchequer Minister at HM Treasury, to put forward the case to open the train station in Willenhall. Both Eddie and West Midlands Mayor, Andy Street, want to see the train station reopened.
Eddie said, "I was pleased to meet with the Minister at the Treasury to make him aware of the need to open the train station in Willenhall. Better connecting the town via rail would be a huge boost and would help reduce congestion. We need to invest in our rail infrastructure, as with improvements secured for Bloxwich, and Willenhall needs future investment too. I will continue to push this issue in Westminster and will fight to unlock this opportunity for the people of Willenhall. A better connected town will improve the local economy, be good for business and help make jobs and employment more accessible."
