I am disgusted by the acts of vandalism that have taken place in Willenhall Lawn Cemetery recently impacting the memorials based in the young person’s section. This deplorable behaviour has no place within our society and these perpetrators need to be identified and prosecuted.
Following previous incidents, Short Heath Councillors worked with Walsall Council to have CCTV installed at the entrance of the cemetery. Today I have contacted the Chief Executive of Walsall Council to ask for immediate action to be taken. I will be working with Short Heath Councillors to ensure no family has to worry about the resting place of their loved ones.
