Today I was told:
If you live or work in the WS2 area and have transport, you can get a test at Walsall College or Forest Arts Centre. They are drive-thru centres open seven days a week between 9am and 3pm - no appointment is needed. Walsall Council is working with businesses to ensure that those who work in WS2 during the day can visit the testing centres.
If you have symptoms, you will need to ring 119 or visit https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-testto book a test. Please do not turn up at the testing centres if you have symptoms.
Walsall Council and Public Health England will be knocking on doors in the WS2 area offering tests in the coming days. The people delivering them will be carrying ID and will arrange for the tests to be collected afterwards. The results will be given within 24 hours and, if you test positive, you will be notified by NHS Test and Trace and will have to self-isolate.
National lockdown rules still apply in the WS2 area. If you work in the WS2 area and cannot work from home, you can still go to work. If you are a key worker and a parent, your children can still go to school.
