A big highlight for me over the last few weeks was the Vaisakhi Parade. I was privileged to join an amazing turnout of local people along with Willenhall activist, Amandeep Garcha, and hundreds of constituents to walk from Wednesfield to Willenhall. The colourful parade held every year marks the birth of the Khalsa. I got the opportunity to speak to people about what Vaisakhi means to them and learn that it’s a time for renewal, reflection, thankfulness, and giving back to the community.
