It was wonderfully festive and busy during the last few weeks of 2017 in both Walsall North and Westminster. I found myself rushing around Parliament from Christmas events to voting on the very important EU Withdrawal Bill which has now passed the next Parliamentary stage.
Concerned residents from Bloxwich, Willenhall and Walsall North have written to Eddie about recent crime in the area. Eddie shares their concerns so here's three things he's been doing to fight for local people:
The Sunday Times covered my parliamentary question to the Department of Health about sepsis in newborn babies. The figures I received were quite shocking. Last year, 9,274 babies less than a month old were admitted to hospital with the potentially fatal condition.
Eddie met with Andrew Jones MP, Exchequer Minister at HM Treasury, to put forward the case to open the train station in Willenhall. Both Eddie and West Midlands Mayor, Andy Street, want to see the train station reopened.
