Eddie Hughes MP has welcomed the news that the Government are going to increase penalties for littering. Maximum litter fines are to almost double to £150 from April next year as well as new fines introduced for owners of vehicles from which litter is thrown.

The Government have today awarded Walsall Council funding from the Department’s National Productivity Investment Fund for the Walsall Economic Growth and Infrastructure Package. The Department will award £4.285 million.
