Nominate your Local Sporting Hero!

Congratulations to the following constituent's for winning tickets to the Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022: 

Maureen Dargavel will be watching England v Sri Lanka for the Women's Cricket T20. Maureen is committed to the Sneyd Striders and has been picked to represent England in the upcoming category against Wales. 🚶‍♀️

Callow Taylor will be attending a Hockey match as he has shown passion for football whilst laying for Cresswell Warriors under 10s. Callow also volunteers with his mum to support the local community and raise money for the children's hospice. ⚽

Alfie Scale will be attending a badminton match following his big win at the Dance World Cup Finals 2022 where he won three bronze medals. 🥉🥉🥉

Well done to all those who were nominated - we have some fantastic sporting heroes across Bloxwich, Willenhall and Walsall North 🏆


The Birmingham Commonwealth Games are fast approaching and I’d like to highlight some our local sporting heroes across Bloxwich, Willenhall and Walsall North.

I’d like to take this opportunity to promote and support local sports heroes and recognise the outstanding talent of these individuals and the contribution they have made to our local community, so whether you're a local footballer or your loved one is a badminton pro in the garden - get your nominations in! ⛹🏽‍♀️

With this in mind, I’ll be giving away tickets to the Birmingham Commonwealth Games to our local top talent! Please nominate your teams sports person of the year so they can be in with a chance of winning a pair of tickets to watch Cricket T20, Hockey and Badminton. 🏏🏸
