The Great Get Together

Inspired by Jo Cox, the MP who was killed on 16 June 2016, The Great Get Together is about bringing communities together and celebrating all that unites us. This year, The Great Get Together took place on 22nd – 24th June 2018, which would have been Jo’s 44th birthday.

More Money for the NHS

This year is the 70th birthday of the NHS and the government are taking action to secure our National Health Service for generations to come.

£30 million Support for Rough Sleepers 

The government recently announced £30M as part of a rough sleeping initiative. £354,933 will be dedicated to Walsall to support those who are sleeping rough and those at risk. It includes more outreach workers, specialist mental health workers and more bed spaces.

Eddie welcomes £9 million investment in local NHS services

The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, which covers most of Walsall North, is getting a £3.25 million investment from the Government to create an extra 18 beds in a co-located stroke unit - providing a fully integrated, end-to-end stroke service for NHS Midlands and East.
