I was delighted to receive a letter from Minister for Schools, Baroness Barran, sharing that Walsall has successfully bid for a new free school for children with special educational needs. The school will provide over 300 full-time places for children, aged 3-19, with complex SEND needs, including autism and social emotional and mental health needs.
Location and timescales for opening will be shared as Walsall Council progresses with their plans - I’ll be sure to keep you updated!
