I was delighted to meet Harry and Tom in Parliament recently at a Home Builders Federation event highlighting the range of training opportunities and entry routes available in the home building industry.
Harry is a from Bloxwich and is a Land Agent for Richborough Estate and Tom is from Blakenall and a Bricklayer for Taylor Wimpey - As a civil engineer, I started my working life on building sites so it was great to talk to two local lads who have started their careers in construction.
The industry is a major source of training, apprenticeships and employment, supporting over 800,000 jobs and mix of skills, ranging from design and architecture to engineering, construction and sales - and there a lots of opportunities available locally.
