Anyone who has watched the ITV drama - Mr Bates vs The Post Office - no doubt will have been moved by the harrowing experiences of those involved.
I was in the chamber of the House of Commons today as MPs were given an update on the present position by Business Minister, Kevin Hollinrake.
We were told that 64% of those affected had been offered full and final compensation.
Each person who has had an Horizon conviction overturned has been offered an interim payment of £163k with the option to then have their case individually assessed, or accept an upfront payment of £600k.
There is still much work to do, but the Government is determined to ensure justice for the victims and their families.
If you haven't yet watched the ITV series I can thoroughly recommend it.
