I recently met with John from Short Heath Lest We Forget - the team have designed two benches to remember those who lost their lives in the Falklands War.
The first bench is at the cenotaph in Short Heath and the twinned bench has been placed 8000 miles away at Liberty Lodge in the Falklands which provides accommodation for veterans and their families. The benches have been very thoughtfully designed and it’s definitely worth taking a look.
The SHLWF team are now designing another bench to remember all veterans which will be located at the Short Heath cenotaph and I look forward to seeing it in place.
