I had a fantastic visit to Busill Jones Primary School today to meet with Head Boy, Logan and Head Girl, Ava to help judge their class reading corner competition
It’s great to see how enthusiastic the pupils were about reading and how headteacher, Nicola Bayliss has made reading a reward for well behaved pupils with the school’s very own book vending machine!
I’m delighted to say that Mrs Samra’s class won the competition with their very creative teepee reading corner - although Mr Davidson’s class tried very hard to sway my decision by decorating their corner with Villa and Conservative posters
Nicola and her team are doing a fantastic job at Busill Jones and I look forward to visiting again to talk more about the school’s Anchored Award for safeguarding and SEN - and to see school dog Bailey!
