From 4th May 2023, you will need to show photo ID when voting at a polling station

If your photo ID has expired, you can still use it as long as the photo still looks like you and your name matches the electoral register.
If you don’t have a photo ID then you can apply for a free Voter Authority Certificate by 25th April 2023 here: https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority...
